Read to Succeed Program

Read to Succeed

We were so excited to find out about this program where the kids can receive free tickets to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. All they have to do is complete 6 hours of extracurricular reading, record their hours in a log, and have it signed off by a parent and teacher. Our homeschool charter, Horizon, is participating so we printed up our logs today. I thought I'd share the link in case some of your schools are willing to participate as well (click above.) Ashlee is in the middle of the Harry Potter series, and we just downloaded The Hunger Games to her Kindle, so I know she will complete the hours in no time. Jacob does free reading every day after school work, but only for about 15 minutes at a time, so he might take a little longer. The deadline for submitting the logs is March 4th. Anyhow, we were just talking about taking a trip to Six Flags the day before we received the notification about this program, so needless to say we are thrilled! Six Flags here we come!

  2. That is really cool. To bad Myla does not start Visions for a few months. We read so much together I know she would have a ticket in less than a week. Next time!
