One year ago at this time, we witnessed the first tulip coming into bloom on this tree. It was the day after Rachel was born. I remember I came downstairs and looked out the window, and there it was. It was special to me because in my mind, it commemorated her birth. This was the first time we had seen flowers on this tree.
It's been a year, and after cycling through summer, fall, and winter, these beautiful flowers are making their appearance again.
With their blossoming come all of the memories of Rachel's birth, and the special events surrounding that time.
I love the cyclical nature of seasons, and how they represent the cycles of our life.
Oooh! Goosebumps. Very nice post.
ReplyDeleteI love flowers. I had a tulip bloom right about the time David was born. I have been looking forward to them all winter long.
