She's Fast

In a record 3 days, Ashlee has finished "The Hunger Games" and is on to "Catching Fire," which we just uploaded to her Kindle.

The glory of being a homeschooler is that she has the time for this.

A friend loaned my the book and we were supposed to read together, but, well, I have the feeling I am being left in the dust.

I think she's earned her Six Flags ticket twice over.

(*These books are safe, right?)

  1. It's amazing to me how the kids can put books away like this. Andrew was this way with the Percy Jackson series. I don't know if any books are really "safe".

  2. There are plenty of safe books out there. I just wish they came with a rating system, like movies, so parents could know.

  3. These books are very popular and safe. Eric has read all 3 in the series. Sarah is also on Catching Fire. She has them on her Nook and we also have the hard copies.

  4. Good to know Candy, thank you.

I did actually get a few chapters into the first book about a year ago. My friend Brittany loaned me the audio version to listen to after Rachel was born, but I kept losing my place so I got frustrated and quit. Plus, it was too hard for me to find the time to listen to it being alone (at the time) with 5 kids. Now I have the hard copy, and I am STILL having a hard time finding the time to sit down with it!

  5. BTW- Naomi, not quite sure what you mean when you say there are no "safe" books? If that is your logic, you are missing out!
