In a record 3 days, Ashlee has finished "
The Hunger Games" and is on to "
Catching Fire," which we just uploaded to her Kindle.
The glory of being a homeschooler is that she has the
time for this.
A friend loaned my the book and we were
supposed to read together, but, well, I have the feeling I am being left in the dust.
I think she's earned her
Six Flags ticket twice over.
(*These books are safe, right?)
It's amazing to me how the kids can put books away like this. Andrew was this way with the Percy Jackson series. I don't know if any books are really "safe".
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of safe books out there. I just wish they came with a rating system, like movies, so parents could know.
ReplyDeleteThese books are very popular and safe. Eric has read all 3 in the series. Sarah is also on Catching Fire. She has them on her Nook and we also have the hard copies.
ReplyDeleteGood to know Candy, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI did actually get a few chapters into the first book about a year ago. My friend Brittany loaned me the audio version to listen to after Rachel was born, but I kept losing my place so I got frustrated and quit. Plus, it was too hard for me to find the time to listen to it being alone (at the time) with 5 kids. Now I have the hard copy, and I am STILL having a hard time finding the time to sit down with it!
BTW- Naomi, not quite sure what you mean when you say there are no "safe" books? If that is your logic, you are missing out!
